I find a good item to write!
Last time I wrote about Japanese literature.
I like to read books and literature (without criticism!)
and I wanted to be a Japanese teacher.
Well… to tell the truth, I tried to be a Japanese teacher
until I went to see announcements of test results in Mie university!
Wow, was it dangerous for me
?
Why did I want to be a Japanese teacher?
First I wanted to be an English teacher,
but my scores of school test except Japanese are all bad!
So I thought that I should be a Japanese teacher.
However, there is one problem.
I’m good at Japanese, but I don’t know how to teach it,
because how to understand Japanese is feeling in my bones for me!
How I teach that?! I can’t do that!
So I wrote ‘English course’ in the first choice.
I thought if I fail the exam, I was picked up by Japanese course
as a second choise!
…I’m optimistic person until then
When I went to see announcements of test results,
I checked my name in a paper of Japanese department first.
There wasn’t my number.
And then, with hope, I checked my name again in a paper of English department.
…There was my number! Wow! What a lucky parson am I!
I was surprised and glad to see it!
Both I and my friend passed the entrance exam of Mie University!
It was rainy day, but we screamed with excitement
At that time, we were taken a picture without knowing,
and that picture appeared in evening edition of Chunichi-Sinbun.
I was surprised at it!! But surprising story didn’t stop here.
After few days, When I went to the post office to finish the entrance formalities,
a woman at the front desk looked my name and said,
‘I looked your name in the newspaper! Good luck for you’
I was surprised at!!! My Good!
My name was also in the Mainichi-Sinbun or Chunichi-Sinbun!!
I remembered that I was got an interview at that time.
That’s my success story.
unn… is it success to join the English department?
Of course people belonging to this department are so cool!
But … I have to study!!!

The train came out of the long tunnel into the snow country.
Hello! My name is Yukari,
and first sentence came from “Yukiguni”
written by Kawabata Yasunari.
When I came back to my house,
I received an e-mail that connects with here.
I was surprised, but I think it’s interesthing,
so I am writing myself now.
So… Why did I write a sentence that was written by K.Y?
Did I read “Yukiguni” now? —No.
…Because I tried to write something at the beggining of
this messages ———- like ”Yukiguni”,
but there are some differences
between the general English translation of “Yukiguni”
and my translation of it.
I think that my ability of transelation is still Japanese-like,
but do you think that sentence translated in Englishis is interesthing?!
I feel the English sentence is simply,
but doesn’t have Japanese emotion.
We should read Japanese literature in Japanese
and feel author’s feeling with Japanese!
‘Japanese’ is very difficult to understand perfectly,
but it always gives me impression.
That’s it.
